The dedicated non-stop screen changer for PET and PVB products is designed for plastic items characterized by high transparency, high precision, and relatively high forming temperatures, such as BOPET, PET strapping, and PET sheets.
This specialized screen changer offers the following features:
(1) It is equipped with a dedicated exhaust mechanism and flow channels. During screen changes, gas within the new screen is completely evacuated, maintaining pressure balance and thoroughly eliminating issues related to "bubbles".
(2) The exhaust position also serves as the preheating zone for the screen block, ensuring that the temperature of the new screen matches that of the screen being replaced. This prevents crystallization of the melt caused by the lower temperature of the new screen block, which could otherwise lead to reduced flowability or the formation of crystalline spots.
(3) In conventional screen changers, the filter screen (breaker plate) carrier is in direct contact with the plastic melt. Due to the back-and-forth movement required for screen changes, friction can easily generate black speck impurities. Even if the filter screen is thoroughly cleaned, the issue may persist because the carrier itself cannot be cleaned directly. In contrast, the dedicated screen changer integrates the filter screen (breaker plate) and the carrier into a single screen block, which moves unidirectionally in a循环. This design prevents the generation of black speck impurities. Moreover, after screen changes, the entire block can be removed for cleaning. A clean screen block fitted with a new filter ensures no black speck impurities.
(4) PET exhibits excellent flowability. To maintain the stability of the mechanical rigid sealing in this screen changer, the steel used is more wear-resistant and heat-resistant than that of ordinary screen changers, and the flow channels are also smoother.
