Another patented product from our institute—the plate-type or column-type dual-flow path dual-station screen changer [square screen]—can also be used in XPS board production. It allows dual screens to filter alternately or work simultaneously, with relatively stable pressure during screen changes. However, as the screen plate lacks a pre-heating mechanism, material temperature after passing through the screen may be uneven and fluctuate. The plate-type structure is prone to deformation, material leakage, and air leakage, while the cylindrical structure, once damaged or corroded, cannot be repaired. We have sold nearly fifty sets in the market but have discontinued production of this model.
