What are the types of screen changers? In which areas are screen changers primarily used?
A screen changer is a manual or automatic switching device that includes one or more screens.
1. A screen changer is a manual or automatic switching device that includes one or more screens.
2. A melt filter screen changer used to remove foreign particles and impurities when plasticizing materials flow through the filter mesh, suitable for application in extrusion lines for materials such as plastics, rubber, synthetic fibers, and ceramics.
3. Screen changers range from low-cost manual screen changers to highly sophisticated, non-stop, pressure-stabilizing automatic screen changers, suitable for extruders with screw diameters from 35 mm to 300 mm.
4. Mesh changers are commonly used in the following production lines:
(1) From the plastic resin synthesis reactor to the extrusion granulation production line for bulk pellets
(2) Ceramic extrusion production line
(3) Polymer (plastic and rubber) molding production lines, including blown film, cast film, sheet, pipe, profile extrusion, plastic recycling, pelletizing, fiber drawing, underwater pelletizing, color masterbatch pelletizing, and extrusion-coating production lines.
(4) Suitable for various pelletizers, extruders, film-blowing machines, wire-drawing machines, sheet extruders, and pipe extruders.
5. Use different types of screen changers to meet various application and process requirements. Manual or low-speed screen changers require the production line to briefly stop filtering during the changeover, whereas high-speed screen changers and certain specially designed screen changers allow for screen changes without stopping the machine or by slowing down the extrusion speed during the changeover.
6. Types of screen changers:
Mesh belt continuous screen changer
Single-board, dual-station rapid screen changer
Dual-board, dual-station rapid screen changer
Single-column dual-station screen changer
Double-column, dual-station screen changer
Manual Screen Changer
Backflush Screen Changer
